Story a day: Day 15 – “Shopping List”

Today’s Story a Day prompt was to write a story in the form of a list. I wrote a drabble of Erik doing some shopping.

Lettuce.
Erik checked the item off the list on his phone as he put it in his cart.
Carrots. Cucumbers. Celery.
Erik skipped the next couple aisles. He’d usually make his own broth, but he didn’t have any time right now.
Two cans of chicken broth.
Box of noodles.
Down the baking aisle.
Flour.
Sugar.
Bag of peanut butter chips.
He headed over to the meat.
A whole chicken.
Package of bacon.
Then, over to dairy.
A gallon of milk.
Eggs.
Now, all he had to do was get home and get everything ready for his dinner with Jeff tonight.
