Welcome back to another visit with the Weekend Writing Warriors, the blog hop for anyone who likes to write, where we share 8-10 sentences from a project and sometimes get creative with punctuation. 😉 This week, I’m picking right back up where we left off.
He laughed again. “Because I didn’t think you’d be stupid enough to come into town when you knew Dad was coming after you. You did figure that out, right? The Gavin I used to know was pretty damn smart, or at least I always thought he was.”
My hand fell away from him at that. I stared hard at the kid, no, young man now. “Holy shit,” I whispered. “Noah?”
He grinned at me. “Been a long time, big brother.”
Anyone surprised? What does his brother really want? Is he there to help? Or something else?

Holy Shit, indeed. I remember hearing about Noah, and worrying about him. I’m glad he’s entered the story, even if it does mean more trouble for Hawk.
We’ll find out what his brother’s appearance means soon.
(Raises hand) I’m surprised! But intrigued of course about what this will mean for the others…excellent excerpt.
Thanks!
Surprise! But yeah, I’m really wondering what brings him now.
We’ll find out soon just what he’s doing and why now.
A nice surprise . . . I hope. But one never knows. An interesting development.
Yes, that would be nice for them to get a nice surprise for once. 😉
Big trouble ahead. YIKES! Super writing, Chris.
I finally fixed my snippet and would appreciate if you’d take a look at my weekly writing.
There’s definitely some more trouble coming.
Sorry, I meant you, Fallon. Long frustrating day because we’re moving. No fun.
So why hadn’t he seen his brother is such a long time? And why now?
Well, since Hawk’s father nearly killed him(Hawk) when he was 16, it wasn’t exactly safe for him to go home. As for why now, that will get answered soon.
Uh oh! Is he in for it or what?
There will be more trouble coming, but it may not be from Noah. 😉
Can’t wait to see where this goes.
Thanks
I’m surprised–in a mostly nice way. Still, viewing Hawk’s history, I can’t help but view this with some suspicion. 🙂
Noah doesn’t mean any harm, but it might come because of him anyway. 😉
Interesting turn of events, I wonder why he’s turned up now too.
We should learn that soon
