Home of a mother, wife, writer

It’s been a bit of a mixed up week, but I’ve still been finishing some goals. Monday I did my usual Mellow Monday. Tuesday, I found a bunch of lice on the girl’s head. Wednesday we had someone come and look at the house(and show up half an hour early, so I didn’t have the dogs crated. It was a bit chaotic). The rest of the week went as normal really. Friday Mother-in-law took the kids to a hot air balloon show. So hubby and I rode the motorcycle to dinner and took the long way home. It’s the first time I’ve been on the bike this year. It felt really good.

If you missed it Wednesday, I got the cover for Flames of Renewal. It’s the first custom cover I’ve had done and am really happy with it.

Got this last week. Created by: Marianne Nowicki.

      • Connor slipped his hand into theirs as they walked to the door. He didn’t bother knocking just opened it. “You’re not even going to let them know you’re here first?”
He looked at them, one brow raised. “They knew we were coming. Why would I do that?”
“It’s rude to just walk into someone’s house.”
That eyebrow stayed arched. “I’m family. You don’t have to knock on family’s doors.”
Ames opened their mouth then snapped it shut again. It was just one reminder how different his family was from their own. It was something they needed to remember to keep in mind.

That cover looks great! And look at all the blue! Well done!

  2. Congratulations on the book cover! Yeah!

    • Thanks. I really like it. Finding a cover with older characters that fit wasn’t happening, but she’s really good to work with. 🙂

  3. Speaking of blue, if you haven’t homed that blanket – I know what you should do with it. =D

Awesome week – except for the danged lice.

    • It was a pretty great week, but yeah, I keep feeling like we’re never going to get rid of them. It’s a frustrating battle.

  4. The cover looks awesome!!! Let me guess, you have something against sleep or you’re just that organized to fit it all in in your days?

    • Thanks!
Haha, I actually don’t have anything against sleep. I usually get between 6-8 hours a night(sometimes less, usually not more). But, yeah, I organize my day quite a bit. It’s the only thing that calms the chaos in my head and lets me get things done. It helps that I don’t work outside the house, so I have time to get to it all.

  5. That cover looks great — did you use Fiverr???? Also, that baby blanket is equally fabulous. And the writing sure is trucking right along.
