Home of a mother, wife, writer

It’s a new month, so it’s time for some new goals. After a look back at how I did in the last month and how this round is going so far.

Last Monday, our washer broke. I was in the middle of the second rinse cycle on the second load of clothes for the day when it started making a grinding sound. We have the parts ordered, but still waiting for them to get here. I took the kids’ clothes to the neighbor’s to do them last week. Today we’re going to the laundromat so we can wash everything. Hopefully the parts will be here tomorrow and we can get it fixed.

Yesterday, the Erie Zoo had their Construction day. A whole bunch of big equipment that the kids could climb in and everything. We took the kids up. They even had a garbage truck from my husband’s new work there.

They had fun, and we went around the rest of the zoo, checking out the animals, and took a ride around on the train.

Wednesday is their last day of school until the end of August. This may change my routine, but we’ll see.

Comments on: "Sunday Summary: New Month" (4)

  1. Of all the appliances around my house, the washing machine is the one I would miss the most! It’s the only thing I wouldn’t like about living full-time in Kenya. Hardly anyone has a washing machine and everyone washes their clothes by hand. That is just way too much work for me.
Have a great week! And good luck getting the washing machine fixed.

    • Our dryer broke before, and of course, it had to be when it was cool/rainy. So, we couldn’t really even hang them up outside. Thankfully it didn’t take too long to get that part and it was an easy fix. Hopefully this will be, too.

  2. I hope it’s all fixed by now…and, wow, are you busy!

Working on turning Stained Blood green. Blue? Well…not this round, I’m afraid – but hopefully next!

    • Not fixed yet. The part we ordered came, but it wasn’t the problem. It was, of course, the cheapest and easiest solution. Apparently it needs a new transmission, though(at least I think that’s what hubby said). That’s more money, but we got it ordered and should be here Friday. So, hopefully this weekend it will be fixed.
