Home of a mother, wife, writer

In Sunday’s post, I mentioned my husband’s cousin(also our real estate agent) whose 14 year old daughter had gone missing Friday night. I did say I would keep everyone updated, so: She was found safe Monday evening. All the way in Kentucky! Apparently she left with a 16 year old boy and an older woman(I’d thought they said she was in her 20s, then I saw 32). The woman was found in Florida and both kids were in Kentucky. Those are really all the details I have. The girl’s parents went to Kentucky Monday night to pick her up. I don’t really know any more than that, just thankful she is home safe.

Personally, things are going pretty well this week. Making my way through the final scenes in Whatever It Takes. Finished the first draft!! Figured out the best way to work on editing too much of characters being “in their heads” in Flames of Renewal. Working on beat sheets for Green Hills & Smoky Fields 2, and have side project goals met for the month. I should have almost all of this month’s goals finished by the end of the day. Whatever I don’t will flow into next month.

Those goals I don’t have figured out yet, but should later today. I will have them up for Sunday’s post, though.

And now, since it’s Wednesday, that means it’s time for WiPPet Wednesday again!! This week I’m picking up almost right from where I left off last week, only leaving out Isaac’s musings about Arcelia’s reaction to his comment. Now, he’s off to find Jonas, and I have the next 12 sentences(2+2+8).

“Are you just going to stand there all day, Isaac, or are you going to come joined me?”

He took a step closer. “How did you know it was me? You never even opened your eyes.”

“You’ve got a certain presence about you. Changes the air in here.” One eye cracked open, and a grin slipped over his face. “Or I heard you speaking to my sister. That could be it, too.”

Isaac laughed and moved over to the couch, leaning over to press his lips to Jonas’. Jonas reached up and slipped a hand into Isaac’s hair. Isaac sighed against Jonas’ lips then rested his forehead against Jonas’.

A nice little moment here. But how long is it going to last?

Comments on: "Writing Wednesday: End of the Month" (11)

  1. Aw, what a sweet moment. Even if it goes sideways, they deserve this little bit of a break.

That is terrifying about the 14yo disappearing. Glad she was found safe.

  2. Such a relief to read the girl is now safe!

And congratulations for finishing the first draft of Whatever it Takes!

  3. A great week in a great month. And a sweet, sweet moment between Jonas and Isaac. I love the hand in the hair, and the humor. May your March be wonderful!

    • It definitely started out good. Yesterday was…I don’t know. Not quite as good. But, today I seem to be doing better. At least so far. Hopefully I don’t get hit with that cloud of ‘blah’ again later in the day.
I’m glad you like. These two definitely still have some stuff to get through, but hopefully this will carry them through it.
      Thanks!

  4. Wow! Lots happening. Glad things have turned out well.
Good work on the writing! Keep it up. Rock on!

  5. I love Jonas’ little joke in there. 🙂 It’s also lovely to see a harmonious moment between these two. Congrats on finishing your final draft! Woohoo!
