Home of a mother, wife, writer

Welcome back to another visit with the Weekend Writing Warriors, the blog hop for anyone who likes to writes. I’m still sharing from Dance with the Devil, another 10 sentences picking up right where last week’s left off.

“He informed both me and Icarus,” Bull said from behind me. “And we informed the others who needed to know.”

Meaning I wasn’t one of them. Of course I wasn’t. Why should I be any more important to them than I’d been to my own family? Just because I thought that was the case didn’t mean it was so. I didn’t look away from Hawk, though. And I was sure he could read all my thoughts right there in my eyes.

Hell. Maybe he could.

So, what is going on? Why wasn’t Devil told? You should have that question answered next week.

  1. I missed last week’s, and maybe the one before. But this is compelling. Why wasn’t Devil told? For that matter, WHAT wasn’t Devil told?

    • it was kind of mentioned in last week’s just ‘what’ he wasn’t told. You’ll find out more next week 😀

  2. The plot thickens (sorry, couldn’t resist). I love the ‘voice’ of your characters!

  3. Have I already mentioned that I love all your character names? Because I do. It helps create a really colorful world.

  4. Good snippet. I like your writing style–it makes the perfect voice for your MC. 🙂

  5. He seems to have low self-esteem, the poor devil.

  6. Oh dear, he needs a pep talk. Or a smack up-side the head. Which one? You decide! LOL! Great snippet!
