The kids and I spent most of the last week in Ohio camping with my dad and stepmom. This is the fourth year we’ve gone and the second the three of us have stayed in a cabin rather than Dad’s RV. This was definitely a good change as I remember the second year spending most of the time on the edge of an anxiety attack due to the close quarters. Doesn’t make for a good time.
The weather didn’t completely cooperate with us. It was cloudy and a bit cool, but it really only rained once, Tuesday evening. So, it wasn’t as bad as it could have been. We spent most of the time at the campground’s playground and pool. Though we did take a walk down to the nearby creek,
and on Wednesday went to the Pymatuning Deer Park, which was only about a 10 minute drive away.
We had a good time, but I’m definitely glad to be back home now.
And as a bonus, the girl when she came home from a school friend’s army-themed birthday party last Sunday:
