Home of a mother, wife, writer

I decided to change up my blog a bit, at least as far as my posting schedule goes. Having a schedule really seems to help me with figuring out what to write about. Having a schedule in general seems to help me out a bit. Maybe it’s just the way I’m wired. I really think the reason I can’t just sit down and write about anything on here is the same reason I’m not good with conversations. I’m just really not much of a talker. Phone conversations are the worst. Which doesn’t make sense really. I’m not around the person, which always makes me awkward. But, I absolutely hate talking on the phone. In fact, I find myself getting irritated if a phone conversation, with anybody really, drags on. Which is probably why I almost never call anyone just to talk. I’m really not a talker.
Ok, I think I got a little off track there. I was talking about my new posting schedule. Monday is going to be for posts like this. A bit rambling, anything I have to say that doesn’t really fit anywhere else. Anything I have in my head that I want to get out. I’m moving my knitting posts to Tuesday. Writing Wednesday is staying right where it’s been for a little over a year(it fits my desire to pair a word with the day, plus the ROW80 check-ins are that day, so it works). Another new one is Tidbit Thursday. I have a couple ideas for this. Thinking either a piece of flash fiction, maybe an excerpt from what I’ve written earlier in the week. Or during the planning phases of a WiP, I may even post a character interview or a summary of what I’m working on. Friday’s post has only changed slightly. I’m moving it more toward a photo heavy post. Although it will still mostly be photos of the kids, I’m sure, and updates on what/how they’re doing.
I’m hoping I can keep up with this schedule better than I did the last one.
