Home of a mother, wife, writer

I haven’t been finishing a lot of projects lately. Mostly bouncing between a couple different ones. I don’t know if it’s the heat or what, but I don’t seem to have a lot of motivation to get out the knitting needles once the kids go to sleep. It could also be chasing around a two-year-old who doesn’t take no for an answer. By the time he’s in bed, I’m about wore out. And trying to knit when he’s awake usually isn’t too successful. But, that’s enough excuses.

I did finally finish one project last Monday night. It’s a hat I started a couple months back but didn’t work on it much. I had to start over on it once because I realized I’d messed up on the gauge and it was going to be a lot bigger than I had figured. And I wasn’t going to have enough yarn to finish it. Then, after I got it restarted, I got sidetracked with a couple other projects, so progress on this one was slow. But, I did finally finish it.

I know I mentioned before my plan to make hats to help raise money for different causes. Well, this is one of them. This one, I am planning to see to help raise money for a friend’s Lupus Walk. She has been having a difficult time health wise this past year, and it only makes me feel the need to help even more. So, if anyone would be interested in buying a hat like this, you can either contact me through my Facebook page or email me directly at: brownsnovelknits@gmail.com. I can make this hat in any size(from 14 inch circumference up to 26). 50% of the sales(before shipping) will go toward the Lupus Walk for my friend’s team. Except for on the 3rd of each month, when 100% will go toward it.
